Safety/Emotional Safety
August 7th,1945
The teens' safety and emotional safety was affected on the daily basis. Teenagers had to wear protection for their head, such as a pillow. Because the bomb would come and drop on their head, they put the pillows over their heads to prevent the harm. Girls could not wear skirts or shorts. Instead, they had to wear long pants that closed at the bottom, so that the fire would not get inside. Many children worried if they will ever see their father or brother ever again. They lived in agony knowing that the fatal moment could come any second. It was a scary time!
